All topics for suppliers

In a sealed bid tender, after seeing the bids the buyer may ask some suppliers for a better price. If you are called to the round, you receive a "Round N Started" email.

Step by step

  1. Go to the newly opened round tab on the tender page, for example Round 2.
  2. If the buyer turned on rank display, your rank in the previous round is shown, for example "#2". Competitors' prices are not shown.
  3. The form comes pre-filled with your previous round prices. Update the items you want to lower.
  4. Send it. The new round's bid is also sealed and can be updated or withdrawn until the round's end date.

Rules

  • On no item can your amount exceed your amount in the previous round.
  • You must re-price every item you priced in the previous round.
  • You cannot price an item in this round that you did not price in the previous round.
  • Bids from earlier rounds are locked; they cannot be changed or withdrawn.
You do not have to take part

If you cannot lower your price, do not bid in the new round. Your bid from the previous round stays in the evaluation and can still win.

If you were not called to the round

The page says "The tender owner invited a limited number of suppliers to round N." Your last bid stays in the evaluation; the buyer sees it when deciding.
