Scoring bids

Give manually scored criteria a score between 0 and 100. The price score is calculated automatically, and scores are not shown to suppliers.

All topics for buyers

If you defined evaluation criteria in the tender, you score each bid after the envelope opens. Without criteria, there is no such step.

Step by step

  1. Click Score on the bid's card in the Received Bids tab.
  2. Enter a score between 0 and 100 for each manually scored criterion. Optionally write a short note (up to 300 characters).
  3. Save. The total score on the card is updated; under Details each criterion's score and weighted contribution are shown.

The price criterion's score is not asked in the window; the system calculates it. You can change scores until you decide; every save is written to the activity log.

Rules

  • Scoring happens only after the round's envelope opens.
  • If one of a bid's manually scored criteria is missing, its card shows a "Not scored" badge.
  • Before the winner is selected, everyone who bid in the current round must be fully scored. If anyone is missing, the decision window lists which suppliers are missing.
  • If you start a new round, the new round's bids are scored separately.
Scores are confidential

Suppliers see the criteria and weights, but not the scores given to them.

Score consistently

Evaluate the same criterion with the same yardstick across all bids and write the reason for the score in the note. The note is the basis of your decision in the award record and in any objection.
