Reading received bids

The bid card in the Received Bids tab: price, score, badges and the Details area.

All topics for buyers

Before the envelope opens

In a sealed bid, the Received Bids tab shows an "Envelopes closed" box: how many envelopes were submitted, how many bids are expected and how many suppliers declined the invitation. Amounts are not visible. Details: How sealed bids work.

The bid card

When the envelope opens, a card appears for each supplier. Bids that price every item come first; then the cards are sorted by price, or by total score if there are criteria.

  • Bid amount: the total the supplier entered.
  • Score: if criteria are defined, the total score out of 100.
  • Difference vs. the lowest: for example "+8% vs. lowest".
  • Exchange rate line: for a bid in another currency, the amount converted "at the rate on bid date".
  • Terms: payment terms, delivery time, shipping, bid validity and the bond if any.

The Details area

The Details link at the bottom of the card opens:

  • If there are criteria, the score breakdown: each criterion's score and weighted contribution.
  • In a tender with several rounds, the decrease between rounds.
  • The supplier's bid note, the documents it uploaded and, in a tender with pre-qualification, its pre-qualification answers.

The buttons at the bottom right of the card: Terms (to correct the terms), Score (if there are criteria) and Select Winner.
